چکیده
Abstract Taking the future add-on armor of light armored platforms as application background and research object, in view combat vehicles’ weak survivability low protection capability against RPGs armor-piercing projectiles urban warfare, based on mechanisms traditional reactive ceramic composite armor, a new type explosive consisting shell, an structural unit lightweight has been successfully developed. It provides effective at same time. Compared with foreign data, its weight loss reached 19%, making it after-effect.

متن کاملPerformance Metrics for Composite Integral Armor
Future combat systems necessarily focus on lightweight, highly mobile and transportable armored vehicles. Lightweight composite integral armor systems are being developed to meet these needs. The goal of this paper is to centrally document he myriad design requirements for composite integral armors that serve multZunctiona1 roles including ballistic, structural, shock, electromagnetic, and fire...
متن کاملDesign and Analysis of Composite Leaf Spring for Light Vehicles
Reducing weight while increasing or maintaining strength of products is getting to be highly important research issue in this modern world. Composite materials are one of the material families which are attracting researchers and being solutions of such issue. In this paper we describe design and analysis of composite leaf spring. The objective is to compare the stresses and weight saving of co...
متن کاملNegligible heat strain in armored vehicle officers wearing personal body armor
OBJECTIVES This study evaluated the heat strain experienced by armored vehicle officers (AVOs) wearing personal body armor (PBA) in a sub-tropical climate. METHODS Twelve male AVOs, aged 35-58 years, undertook an eight hour shift while wearing PBA. Heart rate and core temperature were monitored continuously. Urine specific gravity (USG) was measured before and after, and with any urination du...
متن کاملNumerical simulation of armored vehicles subjected to undercarriage landmine blasts
Landmine threats play a crucial role in the design of armored personnel carriers. Therefore, a reliable blast simulation methodology is valuable to the vehicle design development process. The first part of this study presents a parametric approach for the quantification of the important factors such as the incident overpressure, the reflected overpressure, the incident impulse, and the reflecte...
